Introducing the first of its kind, GM finally decided to make this beast a Mid Engine, and man did it make a difference.
Basics...
Let me start out by saying, this thing runs of of mustangs, not pony's! Its maximum horsepower is a whopping 495hp, only with the Z51 performance package, which brings the speed to 194mph. The max torque comes in at 470lbs! Now lets get down to business, 0-60 time is a neck breaking 2.9 seconds!
In The Making...
According to General Motors, precision was they key factor in producing this car, alongside luxury. The biggest struggle in the series of cars, was the convertible. The roof in the convertible is a hard top, and making it hideaway in a small area were it didn't overheat and or collide with circuitry was very difficult.
Main Style Pieces...
- Door handles are hidden on the intake manifold, for a sleek sporty appearance.
- For the first time, the new and improved engine is visible through a rear window
- Packages for carbon fiber engine covers are available, as well lights to illuminate the engine.
- Flat top steering wheel for maximum performance and visibility.
- Vertical climate controls, (all on one long panel, top to bottom).
